When you plan your stay in this
beautiful Wells-Ogunquit area, how about an affordable motel with 5 Star
service! Unheard of! It's here in Moody, Maine! The Wells-Ogunquit
Resort Motel has always concentrated on their guests' requests for service
and value. That's the philosophy that the founders, Joe & Jean
Proach, based their dream on for the Wells-Ogunquit Resort Motel.
You are invited to stay and try their infamous "Maine Picnic Breakfast"
with a generous assortment that is sure to please all ... plus clean, comfortable,
and affordable rooms complete with refrigerators and microwave ovens, BBQ
grills and gas stoves, outdoor heated pool and a toddler playground.
Located at 203 Post Rd US Rte
1 in Moody right in the middle of the two towns Wells & Ogunquit, you
can easily walk, trolley ride or bike to either Ogunquit or Wells beach!
Jean Proach learned the Hotel/Motel
business first hand when she was hired by a New England based
resort to facilitate the conversion of the resort to a time share in the
early eighties. Her husband Joe was a building contractor who built
his first home at age 14. Joe and Jean summered in Maine with their
two sons for 20 years before developing the Wells-Ogunquit Resort Motel
in Moody, Maine.
As a contractor Joe Proach dreamed
of building something board by board that would stay in the family and
provide a nice career for his sons and their children. The dream
became reality when together with his wife Jean, his Dad, Peter, and two
sons Peter & George they purchased the land in Moody and started building
in 1983. The Motel construction started each Spring and continued
until the tourists came; each year more rooms were added. The dream
continued and now has prospered for 18 years. Joe passed away
in 1993 but the fruits of his labors live on! The Motel has now grown
to a 48 room facility run by Jean, Peter and his wife Sarah along with
their 2 children, providing a "family friendly" atmosphere that couples
and families love to come back to!
Serving up breakfast every morning
from 8:00-10:00 for 15 years, Jean Proach has greeted and visited with
the guests over coffee and a delicious selection of raspberry, cinnamon,
carrot and apple pastries, white & wheat toast, English muffins, Cheddar
cheese, fresh melon, and Jean's grandmother's secret recipe for Canadian
baked sugar beans! All complimentary!
Our guests had these comments:
"Fantastic Breakfast ... our
stay was pleasant. It is very much appreciated to stay at a motel whose
operators & employees seem to both love their work and are happy to
have our business right from our arrival... I will be telling everyone
I know to plan a trip to Southern Maine and stay at the Wells-Ogunquit
Resort Motel!"
"Our stay was great...definitely
Will return! "
"Continue serving those
beans at Breakfast!"
"We had a super time in Maine
and at your Motel...we are certain we will come back and spread the word!"
"We look forward to our return
next year... "
"Nice job; nice to see a family
business succeed! Keep up the good work."
Wells-Ogunquit Resort Motel
sounds like a big name for a Motel! Here service is big and making
their guests' vacation extra special is their goal.
